ECO PRINT WORKSHOP

Dilston Physic Garden, Hexham

Saturday 20th July 2024

10am – 4pm

£90 to include all materials

Reserve your spot

Become an alchemist for a day in the beautiful surroundings of Dilston Physic Garden near Hexham.   Using just fresh leaves you will create a unique eco printed silk scarf and a selection of paper prints to take home with you.

I use the eco print technique to transform second hand clothing from unloved to one off pieces of wearable art.  You can see examples of my work here.  During this workshop I will take you step by step through the various methods of preparing the fabric, printing and after care.

You will learn about the different plant materials that can be used for eco printing and how to coax prints out of plants and fabrics that sometimes can be a little challenging.

You will take home your own printed silk scarf and papers as well as a comprehensive guide to continuing your practice at home and suggestions for materials and other resources.D

Cancellations will only be accepted where there is a waiting list and your place can be filled.
